Creative director and lead tour guide for Urban Arts Trust, 'Watch This Space'.
Dr Woods completed his PhD in Art History at the University of Canterbury and has been published locally and internationally across a range of platforms. In 2023, he curated SHIFT: Urban Art Takeover at Canterbury Museum and in 2025 co-authored ‘Ghosts on Every Corner’ with local artist Ghostcat, an accompaniment to the artist's exhibition of recreations of iconic lost spaces from Christchurch's recent past.
His presentation will explore his experiences and the events and productions that have been central to Ōtautahi's emergence as a vibrant creative destination where art is embedded throughout the cityscape - from massive murals to festivals and rebellious interventions - inviting the reimagining of how we encounter art in our shared environments and the possibilities this setting presents.
